Governors
The Governing Body of Thistley Hough High School is currently recognised as offering ‘good’ governance. This reflects our appointment of a new headteacher and a significant improvement in attainment during the past 3 years. Governors are committed and attendance is ‘good’ at the termly full governors’ meetings and at all committees.
All Governors are volunteers; they make a very positive contribution to the school. Currently there are only two governor vacancies; both are for Local Authority appointed governors. The current Chair of Governors is Mrs.Gill Miller – a former teacher at the Sixth Form College, Gill works with all of the Governors to ensure the smooth-running of the school. Governors welcome comments from parents, stakeholders and members of the community. The Chair has a private pigeonhole in school and can be contacted, in writing, via the school address.
