We are extremely proud of the excellent results achieved by our students.

At the start of 2008/2009, the facts look like this...

• 60% of students gained 5A*-C grades , well above government targets showing the school is improving at the same rate as the best schools in the country.
• 3 years of rapid sustainable improvement
• Boys and Girls achieve equally highly.
• 40% of year 11 students gained the crucial 5A*-C grades including maths and English. Well above the government target showing that the school adds real value to the performance of pupils.
• 85% of students who undertook vocational courses passed, many with merit and distinction grades.
• 50% of  students gained more than 8 G.C.S.E qualifications at grade C grade or above, another step forward for the school. Showing that the school challenges all students including the most able.
• 120 of our year 11 students passed their Adult Literacy and Numeracy exams demonstrating our commitment to basic skills provision

For our current students the figures are even better...

• More than 90% of students taking  vocational qualifications are on target to achieve at least a pass in year 11
• Almost 50% of our pupils started year 10 with a level 6 in maths SATs
• Over 60% of our students achieved a level 5 in their English, maths and Science exams showing that the schools improvement is sustainable in the long term Attainment.
