School Information
Thistley Hough High School
A Media and Visual Arts College

This acquisition is an outstanding achievement and we are very proud to use this status to make fantastic progress in all areas of the school.
Media & Visual Arts status enables the school to develop at a rapid rate in terms of specialist diplomas and vocational qualifications to adapt to the changing needs of our students, as well as supporting traditional GCSE courses.
Under the leadership of the Headteacher, Mr Haines, the school now has an extremely exciting future for both staff and students. This status allows us to work together with the local primary schools and strengthen our community links.
Specialist status brings the latest technology along with media and art professionals into the school. It enables our students to have hands on experience within a wide range of cross-curricular Media & Visual Arts based activities such as film making, photography, animation, ceramics and many more.
As a Media & Visual Arts College, Thistley Hough High School aims to increase enjoyment of learning and achievement in all subjects within the school. This includes invlovment in the school's Media Centre, which has its own mini-site detailing the projects pupils get involved with.
