Thistley Hough High School

This is a rapidly improving school, we genuinely aim to meet our commitment to be a ‘good school for good students’ regardless of their background or level of ability, this means we are a proper comprehensive school and proud of it!

Specialist status brings the latest technology along with media and art professionals into the school. It enables our students to have hands on experience within a wide range of cross-curricular Media & Visual Arts based activities such as film making, photography, animation, ceramics and many more.

As a Media & Visual Arts College, Thistley Hough High School aims to increase enjoyment of learning and achievement in all subjects within the school.

In August 2009 55% of our Year 11 students achieved 5 A*-C grades in their final exams and more than half of these young people got English and maths qualifications. These results were good, but not as good as we can be in the future! We have now maintained results at this level in a way that would not have been thought possible only a couple of years ago. We are always aiming high and want to achieve our very best for the children of Stoke. This success is entirely due to the ever improving teaching staff, the highly supportive parents in our community and the really positive attitudes of the students in this school.

We welcome visitors, please feel free to contact the school if you would like to know more about us.
