SEN Department

The SEN Department in Thistley Hough High School is based mainly in S1 and S2.

The SENCo (Special Needs Coordinator) is Mrs Rosemary Astbury. Kate Reynolds is the SEN Teacher and there are currently 11 LSP’s (Learning Support Practitioners).

The SEN Dept work hard supporting pupils in and out of the classroom. There is always someone available in S1 and S2 before and after school, and at break time and lunchtime to offer help, advice and support.

Lunchclubs run each lunchtime from 1.35. There’s a variety of activities available from chess to card making, dominoes and board games, as well as help with homework.
